Maintaining a safe working environment is achieved by:
- Daily work activity briefings
- Regular toolbox talks
- Risk assessment
- Reporting and investigations of incidents
- Contracts carried out according to safety and management plans
- Compliance with site regulations, statutory acts, associated regulations and Australian Standards
- Development of safe work practices for hazardous tasks
- Providing adequate resources, including supervision, to meet policy objectives
Accreditations
Mellor Enterprises is compliant with Code of Practice for the Construction Industry, an acccreditated contractor to the Mt Isa Earnest Henry Mine and McArthur River Mines for Xstrata Copper, Lead and Zinc. All machinery and vehicles supplied meet mine standards in safety requirements.
